The first historical eruption from Batu Tara, during 1847-52, produced explosions and a lava flow During this trip on September 14-18, 2012 we overnight at Pulau Sabete about 68 km from Pulau Komba (batu tara), at night I can see the Fire the this Volcano, have 2 times on big eruption, and need about 5-6 hours sail using Fisherman Boat from Larantuka to Pulau Komba (Batu Tara Volcano Batu Tara Volcano is an Isolated in the Flores Sea about 50 km from Lembata Island or about 78 km from East Flores (Larantuka small town), Landing to close into the face of Crater is not easy, because waves from east sea higher and also walking…
